Japan's #1 Cherry Blossom Spot
The Asuwa River flows right through the heart of Fukui City. Along a two-kilometer strip of the river sits 600 cherry blossom treets. The sheer number of them creates a streak of pink through the city in spring. It's not just the length or number of the trees that makes this area so special; it's the huge size of each tree. You won't find a collection of cherry blossom trees like this anywhere else in Japan. When illuminated at night, the trees look amazing as well.
