Japan's Most Iconic Mountain and a World Heritage Site

Mt. Fuji is more than just a big mountain. It's THE symbol of Japan. It's appeared in various historical and artistic works throughout the ages. Its a spiritual place for sure as well. The mountain itself is often thought of as a diety, and that's a huge part of why it was chosen as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The view from the top is famous and breathtaking. Climibing Mt. Fuji is limited to the summertime only, however.
