A Waterfall That Looks like Falling Strands of Silk
Shiraito Falls was once selected as one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan. This 150-meter tall waterfall makes quite a beautiful scene. It receives most of its water from Mt. Fuji's run-off. It's often said to look like it has strands of white silk flowing down from its top. The water temperature of the fall stands at 12° C all year-round, which gives the area a cool feeling even in the hottest parts of the year.
