There are 3 floats in Arimatsu: Hotei-sha(布袋車-Hotei float), Karako-sha(唐子車-Karako float), and Kougoujingu-sha(神功皇后車 - Jingu-kougou float). They will appear at the autumn grand festival (1st Sunday of October) in Arimatsu Tenman-sha Shrine(有松天満社), the Ujigami(氏神 - guardian god) of Arimatsu. It is very interesting to see these three floats are being dragged along the Tokaido road, where old townscape remains. The 3 floats have been designated as tangible cultural properties of Nagoya city since 1973. One of the floats is exhibited every year and is open to the public on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays.
