A Buddhist Temple with over 400 Years of History

Guided by the hand of then shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, Osu Kannon stands along with Asakusa Kannon and Tsumi Kannon as one of the Three Great Kannon Temples of Japan. The Osu shopping district next to the temple is home to numerous shops that sell everything from fashion accessories, used clothing and electronics, along with a variety of restaurants and even a few maid cafes. Every August, the Osu area plays host to the World Cosplay Summit, turning the area into a cosplay paradise.
