Tsuruma Park, opened in 1909, is the oldest park in Nagoya.
In 2009, Tsuruma Park celebrated its 100th anniversary. It is a popular spot to see cherry blossoms in bloom and was selected as one of Japan's 100 famous Sakura Spots. "Tsuruma Park Fountain Tower"" and "Fusen Memorial Open-Air Theater"" in the park are designated cultural properties of Nagoya.
