The "Mikimoto Pearl Island" is an island where the founder of the world famous pearl brand "MIKIMOTO" successfully cultured pearls for the first time in the world.
Presently it is a "pearl theme park" with shops where one can buy jewelry of the "MIKIMOTO" brand and a museum introducing the charm of pearls. The museum has precious items such as the gorgeous globe made with 12,541 pearls, 377 rubies and 373 diamonds.
