A Trip Back in Time with Mud Walls and Stone Streets

The Nagamachi Samurai District was once home to the Kaga clan of warriors. The remaining buildings from their area, built with mud and stone, help visitors relive that time in vivid detail. Even now, people continue to live in those old buildings. The Nomura family gardens, located nearby, were highly praised by an American magazine that specializes in Japanese gardens.
