A Sea Diving Restaurant Experience
"Ama" are typically female divers who without the use of diving gear swim down to collect shellfish and seaweeds. These divers are not seen outside of Japan or Korea. The Ama-koya [female diver shed] is a popular spot for foreign travelers. Fresh seafood is prepared right before your eyes and you can watch the divers' dances while you dine.
In the Ama Hut while listening to the conversation of the women divers, you can experience frying and eating fresh fish, and trying the diver's snacks. You can also try on the traditional clothes of the women divers and have a memorial picture taken. Please reserve in advance on their website. (Bookings can be made in English and Chinese)
