A Popular Café and a Great Photo Spot
Honmachi Saryou is a rennovated kominka (old Japanese-style house) built more than 100 years ago. They offer not only Japanese matcha and azuki [sweet red beans] sweets, but the castle town's traditional dengaku [tofu with sweet miso sauce], dango [dumplings made of rice], and cafe latte with a castle latte art! One of the popular things people do is to snap a photo holding a heart-shaped soft-serve in front of the heart-shaped water tank. There is also a Japanese-style garden.
