A Mysteriously-Shaped Mountain With a Magnificent View
The massive mouth of the dormant Mt. Omuro sits 580 meters high above ground level. The mountain is quite popular with foreign tourists due to its beautifully curved slopes and its surface, covered in Japanese nutmeg-yew trees, that creates a rather unique look, like a giant green dome. If you take the lift up to the top, you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance.
