A Mystical Shrine by the Lake

Protected since long ago by the gods of wind and water, Suwa Taisha is counted amongst the oldest of Japan's shrines. Suwa isn't just one shrine, it's actually a collection of smaller shrines clustered together. The surrounding streets are filled with various souvenir shops as well. The mountiains nearby have been called the Eastern Alps for their beauty.
