A 140-Centimeter-Tall Samurai Helmet

The main section of Toyama Castle was rebuilt about 60 years ago. Inside, however, are a number of items that will give you a taste of the 400 years of history that has taken place at the castle. The centerpiece of the collection is a 140-centimeter-tall helmet that once belonged to one of Oda Nobunaga's leading generals, Maeda Toshiie. The castle is a popular cherry blossom spot in the spring as well. Also inside the castle complex is a folksy museum where you can learn all about Toyama's rich culture.
