Nakamachi Street goes along with Zenkoji Street, which stretches from west to east in the castle town. Namako wall, uniquely designed fireproof walls, still remain. A massive fire during the Edo period was the reason why this fireproof walls were made.
There are many craft shops, art galleries, restaurants, and souvenir shops. You can shop and dine while enjoying the view of a quaint old town. Cafés and restaurants built using old warehouses are also recommended tourist spots.
