“Centrip-Japan.com” is a web magazine providing information in English, Chinese (simplified and traditional) and Thai, on the central Japan area including Nagoya, Takayama, Kanazawa, and other places. The site is managed by AQUARING Global Strategy Inc.
The city of Nagoya, where our two companies are based, was the recipient of the unwanted title of “least interesting city in Japan” in survey taken last year. We feel that the reason for this is not that Nagoya lacks attractions, but that its attractions have not been given the publicity they deserve.
This area boasts a thriving industrial scene (based around car manufacture), a stimulating urban lifestyle, rich natural scenery, delicious food, historical towns and streets, stylish and individual hotels and other places to stay, and much more, putting it on the same level as Tokyo and Kyoto. We started the “Centrip Japan” project as a way to realize our goal of attracting more foreign visitors to come and see the attractions of this area.
“Centrip Japan” benefits from the support of local establishments who share our ideas, including the local sightseeing bureau, along with local businesses, universities and other educational establishments, to understand how this area is seen by foreigners who live here and to transmit this information.
We are also constantly adding new content to the website, with the aim of making it a place to find useful information both for foreigners already living in the area, and those who may visit it in the future.
Furthermore, some of our articles are also displayed by China’s largest online travel agency, Ctrip.
