Lake Aoki

（青木湖)

Lake Aoki is the deepest lake in Nagano Prefecture, and the clearest water in the country. The lake is surrounded by forest, with a tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for camping, canoeing, as well as a variety of outdoor activities.

From Matsumoto Station, take an Oito Line train bound for Minami-Otari and get off at Tsukuba Station (about 1 hr. 20 min.). Walk 20 minutes from Tsukuba Station [Directions 2] Approx. 3 hours and 30 minutes: ¥6,800 (one-way) From Nagoya Station, take the Shinano Express for Nagano bound for Matsumoto Station (about 2 hr.).
