Iwase Bunko Library is regarded as Japan's first "antiquarian book museum. The museum boasts a collection of 80,000 volumes, including classic works that are culturally significant. It is a one-of-a-kind facility where anyone can pick up and read practically all of the books in the collection (even visitors to Nishio City for sightseeing, of course).
As of October 2022, the number of seats in the reading room has been reduced to prevent new coronavirus infection, and reading materials are now only available by appointment in advance.
