The Kawauso Friends (かわうそフレンズ/Kawauso Furenzu-Otter Friends) store is on the 5th floor of Yabacho Nakakoma Building along Otsu Dori. There are many cute animals in the store kennels. You will feel their healing effects from the moment you enter the store.

The entry fee includes one drink and is ¥1,500 per hour for junior high school students and up (elementary school students are ¥1,200, Children 1-5 are ¥1,000). For an additional fee, you can feed and interact with the animals.

Saturdays are often crowded so I recommend you reserve in advance.

At the sister store Animal Cook" Zoo (アニマルクックズー) in Showa ward, Nagoya, you can see 80 animals from among 50 species including serval cats and reptiles.
