Aug. 4th & 5th 2018, Festival of Kuwanaishidori
Festival of Kuwanaishidori which is called as the loudest festival in Japan, will be held for 2 days starting from August 4th mostly at Kasuga Shrine at the city of Kuwana. In December 2016 it was registered as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Site.
This is a courageous festival when people put gongs or drums to 30 gorgeously embellished festival vehicles so the sound when all gongs are beaten simultaneously is giving strong impressions to the visitors.
Such unusual festival with participation of all the local inhabitants is definitely worth seeing.
