First choice for an in-depth tour of Kanto, Tohoku, and Nagano: 3-day JR EAST Welcome Rail Pass 2020

If you want to visit Tokyo, Tohoku, and Nagano, this is the one to buy! The pass is valid on many routes in the Tokyo area and is valid for unlimited rides for three days. All non-Japanese passport holders are eligible to purchase this year's travel pass. First come, first served!

Benefits: Passengers with non-Japanese passports can purchase the JR EAST Welcome Rail Pass 2020. The pass allows for unlimited rides on specified routes within three days of its expiration date. Included lines are the JR East Aomori Railway Line, IGR Iwate Ginga Railway Line, Sanriku Railway Line, Echigo-Toru Railway Line (between Myoko Kogen and Naoetsu area), and Shinano Railway Line.

The best choice for a short trip: Open Pass

Benefits: When you use Go To regional coupon, you can also purchase a Open Pass. With this pass, you can take two consecutive days of unlimited rides on regular trains, including express and new express, in limited areas (Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, Shiga, Keihanshin, Keihanna, Wakayama, Okayama, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Tottori, and Shimane).
Price: ¥1,500, ¥2,000, ¥3,500, ¥4,000 for adults and half price for children, depending on the area.
Period of Use: October 1, 2020, to February 1, 2021, valid for two consecutive days.
Sale Period: October 1, 2020, to January 31, 2021
Available at selected stations and nearby travel shops.
Note:
1. This pass is only available for purchase the day before or on the day of travel and must be used in conjunction with a Go-To regional coupon.

The Door to Anywhere: A open ticket to travel anywhere.

As part of the Doraemon Movie publicity, JR West, JR Kyushu, and JR Shikoku are offering a Doraemon Door to Anywhere Ticket, and it allows you to enjoy unlimited trips on all JR lines!

The JR EAST PASS is available in two versions. The first type is available in the JR West area. If you purchase the pass, you can ride all Shinkansen, limited express, and regular trains in the JR West area for two days as many times as you like (up to six rides on reserved seats).

The second type covers a larger area and is available in the JR West, JR Kyushu, and JR Shikoku areas. After purchasing the pass, you can take unlimited rides on the Shinkansen, limited express, and regular trains, in the previously mentioned areas, for three days (up to six rides on reserved seats).

JR Nishinihon 2-Day Open Ticket
The ticket is available on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays or on November 2 for ¥12,000 or ¥15,000 on a weekday. Children cost ¥2,000.

JR West Japan-Kyushu-Shikoku 3-Day Open Ticket
The ticket is available on Fridays and Saturdays, November 1 and 22, and costs ¥18,000.
On weekdays, the price is ¥20,000.
Children's tickets are priced at ¥3,000 regardless of weekdays or holidays.
