Japan's First Animal Boat Tour

The Shaboten Zoo is a collection of different attractions. The name of the zoo, Shaboten, which is very close to the Japanese word for cactus, is due to the fact that they have a collection of 1500 different kinds of cacti. Another distinguishing feature of the park is how close visitors can get to the animals. Squirrel monkeys and peacocks are allowed to roam about the park. In the winter months, you can see capybara taking a dip in the hot spring. You can also take a boat tour around all nine of the islands that the animals live on. It's a great place to feel a sense of adventure.
