Nabana no Sato


 

Nabana no Sato, located in the Nagashima Resorts at Nagashima-cho, Kuwana-shi, is one of the best-known places for illuminations. The "theme area", known for its magnificent scale and overwheming quality, will feature the beauty of Kumamoto prefecture, with Aso, Amakusa, Kumamoto Castle, and more spectacular attractions depicted on the big canvas of light (Width: 155m, Height; 30m).

Hida Takayama Illuminations

You can enjoy both the romantic illuminations and the lit-up scenery of the town at Hida Takayama. In the downtown area, the Naka-bashi built over the Miya River will be specially lit during this season. We hope you will enjoy walking through this wonderland. There will be many illuminations showing in the city. Why not go and enjoy yourself in the sparkling town of Hida?

138 Tower Park

With 300,000 light bulbs decorating everywhere including Twin Arch 138, you can enjoy the magical view of illuminated lights, based on this year's theme, "Ring ~Towards tomorrow~". In addition, you can enjoy the illuminations on the ground from the observation floor in the Twin Arch 138.

    Higashiyama Sky Tower

    You can see the beautiful night view of the city from the observation room in the Higashiyama Sky Tower. From Nov 23 to Dec 25, in addition to the regular lightups, illuminations in the shape of a christmas tree will be visible from sunset to closing time. Selected as the "Nippon Yakei Isan" (Japanese night view heritage) and "Yakei 100 Sen" (100 best night views in Japan), the spectacular night view is a must-see.

    Hirayu Ootaki

    The illuminations of Hirayu ootaki dramatically lightens up the frozen waterfall, located in Takayama city, Gifu. The chill of the Okuhida Hot Spring Village freezes the expansive waterfall (64m high, 6m wide) turning the streams into gigantic ice polars, which is to be illuminated in blue and green bringing a spectacular view.

    Date: 2018, Feb 15 - 25 (Illuminations from 18:00 - 21:00)
    Access: Car.
    Take the shuttle bus from Hirayu bus terminal for 5 minutes, to "Anki-ya" (restaurant). Once getting off, walk 25 minutes to the event site.
