A Return to Traditional Nail-less Japanese Architure
Thehe current Kanazawa Castle's front gate and towers are not the original structures, but they reconstructed after the end of the Meiji Period. The reconstructed parts were rebuilt using ancient Japanese building techniques that doesn't include the use of nails. The Ishikawa Gate and longhouse exist as they were originally. The castle grounds are home to a beautiful garden and a glass-enclosed rest spot that includes a cafe.
