Founded at the end of Edo period, Funasaka Brewery has long been part of the cityscape of Hida Takayama. In addition to producing and selling sake, they serve "masu-zake" (sake served in a Japanese square wooden measure cup) at their retail stores. There also is a restaurant in the main store, so visitors can enjoy see, taste, and buy sake.
