The 180m tall TV tower, made in 1954, is considered tangible cultural property. See outstanding views of Nagoya city, Ise Bay, and the Chubu Mountains from the Sky Deck, an indoor observation deck 90m above ground made of glass with a 360º view, or the Sky Balcony, an outdoor observation deck 100m high up above ground. In 2013 the tower was named one of the best night views in Japan. The Kirameki, an illumination display made for the 60th anniversary of the tower in 2014, uses 10,000 LED lights.
